Simpsons Back Inspirational Fundraising Ride – Support the Fight Against Modern Slavery
Simpsons are proud to sponsor an extraordinary challenge as septuagenarians Simon John (79) and John Desira take on a remarkable fundraising bike ride to Lourdes in the Pyrenees — with the support motorhome provided by Simpsons for the journey.
This is no ordinary ride. Two years ago, Simon began cycling solo from Walsingham, reaching as far as Blois, France — almost 500 miles — before he was hit by a bus and hospitalised with a pulmonary embolism, forcing him to stop.
Now, following a knee replacement, Simon is determined to complete what he started. He’ll be resuming the ride from the very hospital in Blois — and this time, he won’t be alone. John Desira is stepping in as a support driver, giving Simon a fighting chance of making it all the way to Lourdes.
They are riding for a powerful cause: to raise money for two vital anti-slavery charities.
Anti-Slavery International – the world’s oldest human rights organisation, fighting for freedom across the globe:

Please donate if you can. Every mile they ride brings us closer to ending modern slavery – and every donation brings hope to those who have suffered.
